G310R recovered post-theft and sent to BMW Motorcycles of Miami for insurance repairs. Over months, the dealership uncovered issues in fragments. When the bike was finally returned: brakes nearly caused a crash, license plate held by a shoelace, missing mirrors, front light hanging loose, missing screws and bolts. Rider paid $600 at EPC Motorcycles in Doral to make it roadworthy. BMW corporate's reply was described as a polite brush-off. Posted with photo evidence. Read full thread

Insurance repairs took months, filled with miscommunications and false completion dates. When the bike was finally returned, brakes were not functioning properly and the rider nearly crashed the same day. An additional $600 had to be spent at a different shop for issues that should have been addressed.

Expected a higher standard from BMW, but the experience was deeply disappointing. Service lacked communication, follow-up was poor, and concerns were not taken seriously at any point.

Disappointed by the lack of regard for customer service. Noted the place only exists because there are no other BMW shops near Miami. Despite years of purchases and servicing, described customer service as lame with a snobby attitude from ownership. Work takes forever.

Motorcycle broke down and was towed to the dealership. They refused to accept it, requiring a scheduled appointment. An independent mechanic resolved the issue in one hour.

Attempted to use warranty service but found it nearly impossible to drop off the bike. Staff said they were busy and would call back. A WhatsApp message was sent instead. When someone finally called 24 hours later, the rider was told to keep the motorcycle at home. Decided not to use their services at all.

Described the service department as terrible. Always having issues with mechanics, inability to keep scheduled appointments, overcharging, and attempts to pad the repair bill with brakes and tires that were not due.

Store itself is a level above, but the service area received a firm recommendation against. Issues attributed to store policies rather than individual staff. An independent workshop behind the store was recommended as a better alternative.

Described the worst service department ever experienced. Had a conversation with the general manager (Garcia). Despite purchasing two motorcycles and servicing them there, stated he would not return. Zero regards for customer service.

Nice selection of bikes and accessories, but customer service is described as really bad. Called several times for the service department and went to voicemail every time. No return calls received.

Purchased a new bike but the salesperson didn't know anything about it and rushed the sale. First service appointment was three weeks out. Arrived at 9am, waited seven hours. First service cost $420 despite being quoted $200.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BMW Motorcycles of Miami a good dealership?
BMW Motorcycles of Miami has mixed reviews. While some customers praise the showroom and sales staff, the service department has received significant criticism for long wait times, poor communication, warranty denials, and overpriced repairs. The dealership holds a 3.0 out of 5 on Yelp (62 reviews) and a 4.3 out of 5 on Google Maps (853 reviews). The gap between these scores tells the story: Google's higher volume includes many brief positive sales reviews, while Yelp's more detailed reviews expose service department patterns.
What are common complaints about BMW Motorcycles of Miami?
The most common complaints include service department wait times stretching weeks or months, failure to return phone calls, warranty claims being denied without clear explanation, overcharging for repairs, botched repairs that create new problems, and rude or dismissive staff interactions.
Does BMW Motorcycles of Miami honor warranty claims?
Warranty issues are a documented pattern. On the BMWLT.com forum, a rider reported a heated seat on a 2022 R1250 RT that failed under warranty was denied coverage. The BMW Rider Advocacy group specifically lists warranty claim denials as a primary issue. Riders who encounter warranty issues should escalate directly to BMW North America Customer Relations at 1-800-831-1117.

Yes. The South Florida BMW Motorcycle Service Directory lists every option from Miami to Palm Bay. Top alternatives include AFI Cycles in Jupiter (independent BMW specialist, 35+ years) and Power Motorcycles USA in Palm Bay (authorized BMW dealer, excellent reviews). For riders concerned about distance, the motorcycle transport guide covers rated hauling companies with cost estimates. Multiple riders have found the total cost of transport plus quality service is comparable to paying for botched work at a closer shop.
